PMCT Constitution

As an Incorporated Association established in 1999, PMCT's Constitution requires that PMCT is governed by a Board of Directors.

PMCT is a charitable, not-for-profit and independent organisation.

PMCT Board

The role of the PMCT Board is to provide strategic guidance for the organisation, a strong system of governance that supports the strategic direction and effective oversight of management. The Board has the responsibility of PMCT's finances and operations.

The PMCT Board meets quarterly.

Membership

Membership comprises key stakeholders within Tasmania including:

  • Department of Health (Tas)
  • Medical Board of Australia (Tas)
  • UTAS College of Health and Medicine
  • Consumer Representative
  • Prevocational Doctor Representatives
  • State Medical Services Representative
  • Independent Chair
  • Chairs of the Accreditation Committee and Education & IMG Committee

While all above groups must be represented, the representative requirement may be met by individuals occupying more than one position.
